SMS Top-up
Who can use the SMS top-up service?
Every active prepaid customer, i.e., every customer who uses a tariff plan without invoice and has made phone calls or sent text messages in the past year.
How can I activate SMS Top up?
- Register here.
- Select the payment method: credit card or direct debit.
You prefer direct debit? Print the direct debit form and sign it.

Do you prefer to pay by credit card? You do not have to send a document.
Where can I find my PIN?
Do you prefer to pay using your bank account? You will receive your PIN in your next bank statement, together with a € 0.01 deposit.
Do you prefer to pay by credit card? You will receive an e-mail containing your personal PIN. If you want to, you can use this service immediately.
I am unable to print my direct debit form. What do I have to do?
Download a form here. Print, complete and sign it and send it to the address mentioned on the document. Or fax it to 078/15 10 05.
When can I start using the service?
Once registered you will receive a PIN. From then on you can use this service to top up.
How many telephone numbers can I register?
For each current account or credit card you can register maximum five telephone numbers.
Can I change my PIN?
You can change your PIN at any time. Send a text message stating 'PIN <spatie> your old PIN <spatie> tour new PIN' (e.g., PIN 12345 54321) to 1914.
- If you registered for this service with your current account, you will receive a confirmation by text message.
- If you registered for this service with your credit card, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.
What if I have forgotten my PIN?
You can request a new pin by sending a text message stating 'NEW' to 1914. If you registered for this service with your current account, the new pin will be stated on your bank statements. If you pay by credit card, you will receive an e-mail with your new pin.
How can I add or remove a number from my current registration?
You can do so easily on the registration page. You do not have to submit a document.
What do I have to do when my current account changes?
Change your current account number on the registration page. We will cancel your existing direct debit and send a request to your new bank. All you have to do is sign and submit the direct debit document.
What do I have to do when my credit card number changes?
Change your credit card number on the registration page. We will cancel your existing direct debit and send a request to your new credit company.
Can I top up by SMS when I am abroad?
Yes, send a text message to the same number 1914. To top up while abroad the normal roaming rate will be charged.
Can I make a top-up from another current account?
Yes, you can. Provided that this account has been registered and that you have a pin for it.
Can I see the amounts I have topped up?
An overview will be included in your bank or your credit card statements.
How much can I top up by SMS?
You can top up maximum € 30 a day when you pay by direct debit. If you pay by credit card, the maximum is € 75 per top-up and maximum € 150 per day.
How can I end my registration?
Select the option 'Terminate registration' on the registration page. We will do the rest. You do not need to send a notice letter.
What is the difference between topping up with the message 'TOP' and with 'PAY'?
By sending a text message 'TOP' you can top up your own call credit and the call credit of maximum five other numbers that you have registered. Each number has its own pin and can be topped up with that pin from any BASE phone. By sending a text message 'PAY' you can top up the call credit of any other prepaid customer, without this number having to be registered by you.
